Well, as January 2010 is here, the end of the line is rapidly approaching on the Stop, Look & Listen Campaign. It "Officially" ends on January 31st, so, I'm opening this thread to show "Finished" pics by any campaigners to submit for their ribbon.

END DATE EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 28, 2010

Thanks all. I'm hoping to see some great trains and rail-related stuff!

Nice work, Mike! I love it! You get a ribbon!

I'm using this thread for initial "finisher" counts, so, SL&Lers, make sure you get your pics in here.

Keep going folks! You're all doing great!

The battle buggy just needs a flat coat and it's done...the boxcar however is in need of a better color. The "german grey" it's now painted in seems too dark........

Now for the weird part...

I was prepping 2 more of these last weekend while there came a big snow. So I'm in the garage getting ready to prime them with a solvent-based spray primer, and thinks to me'self, pilot lights! No spraying in here! Ok, the built pair you see above I primed outside in subfreezing weather, and they dried OK. So'es I sez to myself, "Self..." (an inside joke known to an Aeroscaler and a few others back home ), "...spray these out of doors again." And I did. And I put the little metal frames on the front porch to dry, as I did the two you see above. And then I went to bed.

Next morning I go out to collect them...

...they are gone! No footprints in the snow leading up to them.

I have spent the past week digging around in the snow next to the porch (only a 2 inch drop!) but they are nowhere to be found! Did they blow away??? I did find the plastic glove I left next to them...

Maybe I'll find them with the sock missing from the dryer...

Squirrles or racoons? I had a similar issue as a package of mine went to the neighbor's house{via UPS} and a week later I found the empty box in the back yard{no speak english- one of his guests took it, I know it}...still having an issue with UPS about that...this is why I won't use them anymore.

And just ta prove it here's where I'm at right now-

The lil battle buggy just needs a coat of flat and she's done...I may do the figures inside for it later.
The boxcar is close...got the weathering, with the exception of the roof top{trying to do a good ash trail there}, to my liking but still need decals and a flat sealing coat. I "should" be able to button her up by the end of the week.

Here's to sqeeking in at the last minute! A pair of Red Caboose Box Cars in HO. I procrastinated on the pictures. Also procrastinated on the procedure to upload so this may not be that interesting anyway. http://gallery.kitmaker.net/showphoto.php/photo/334198/ppuser/40218 http://gallery.kitmaker.net/showphoto.php/photo/334199/ppuser/40218
I had about a month to fit these in but they're kind of pointless since I sold my HO layout 8 months ago and started an N layout in January. Still, I have a stack of unbuilt HO stuff and almost no N.
